The curriculum is designed to help your child make wise decisions about his or her behavior during these next few crucial teenage years. Your involvement in these decisions is encouraged throughout the unit. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Most of these lessons will have a Home Learning Opportunity.  Often, students are apprehensive about communicating with parents about sexuality. They have expressed their desire for open and sensitive handling of what can be, at times, embarrassing and uncomfortable. You are encouraged to participate; if you do, please sign and return one of the slips attached to this letter. Your child will receive credit for each slip he or she returns. The handles should be somewhere between armpits and earlobes.&lt;br /&gt;&gt; Jumping rope on a consistent basis will improve Cardiovascular Endurance, Muscular Strength, and Muscular Endurance. They will be required to:&lt;br /&gt;1.  Label the muscle (posterior and anterior)&lt;br /&gt;2.  Describe the difference between anterior and posterior.&lt;br /&gt;3.  Explain that muscle fibers do not multiple only increase in size (hypotrophy)&lt;br /&gt;4.  Explain the difference between the 3 muscle types (skeletal, cardiac, and smooth)&lt;br /&gt;5. Explain the location of the muscles using their vocabulary words and knowledge from the skeletal system (anterior, posterior, lateral, medial)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The students were given some tips for studying for this test, which were to draw a basic body outline and have someone call out the names of the muscles and they write and draw them in the correct location. If no one is available to help them study they can create a word box for themselves. We have 3 attractions this year including a ghoulish bus, terrifying trail, and haunted wagon plus food and a bon fire. Admissions is $5 per child and adults are FREE! Admission includes 5 tickets which can be used for food and entrance into the attractions.
